NORTON CHILDREN’S ADVANCED EYE CARE, affiliated with the UofL School of Medicine, and a part of Norton Children's Medical Group, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatric ophthalmologist. The selected candidate will function as part of a dynamic, growing team dedicated to meeting the needs of children through clinical care, medical education, research and advocacy. Norton Children's Advanced Eye Care currently offers care for strabismus, pediatric cataracts, pediatric glaucoma and pediatric oculoplastics, as well as retinopathy of prematurity, with the latest technology and surgical techniques.

The selected candidate will be a part of the UofL School of Medicine’s growing and vibrant pediatric ophthalmology program, promoting innovation and passion for the care of children with eye issues. Additionally, the candidate will have the opportunity to mentor and teach residents and technicians, and to participate in multiple research opportunities, or to expand research, if desired.

About the UofL School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences

The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences within the UofL School of Medicine is located in its own free-standing complex, a 68,000-square-foot facility called the Kentucky Lions Eye Center in the heart of the Health Sciences Campus in downtown Louisville. The department has 12 clinical faculty members with the full spectrum of subspecialty divisions, from pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, to retina and uveitis, glaucoma, corneal and external disease, refractive surgery, oculoplastic and orbital surgery, neuro-ophthalmology, comprehensive ophthalmology and well eye care, contact lens and specialized optometry, including sports vision. The department’s clinical services extend to Central and Western Kentucky as well as Southern Indiana. The department has four research faculty members and scientists with grants from the National Institutes of Health, Research to Prevent Blindness and Department of Defense, as well as collaborative projects with other major research and academic institutions. The department has 12 residents, two fellows and multiple postdoctoral students, as well as a nationally acclaimed educational program that includes the Harry C. Stephenson Visiting Professor Lecture Series.

Duke Eye Center is accepting applications for a full-time pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus specialist.  The successful candidate will provide care for patients in a multi-specialty academic practice with six locations in the Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle Park area.  The Duke Division of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus includes 10 faculty and serves as a referral center at the local, regional, and national level.   This faculty member will practice at our Holly Springs, NC satellite office, as well as at the main Duke Eye Center in Durham.

Candidates must have successfully completed a fully accredited ophthalmology residency training program, a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, and be American Board of Ophthalmology certified or eligible within one year of hire.  

This position requires both excellent clinical skills as well as a dedication to academic ophthalmology, and the faculty member will be expected to engage in teaching as well as clinical research activities.  Post-fellowship work experience and an interest in pediatric glaucoma and intraocular surgery are preferred but not required.

Lee Health is seeking a Pediatric Ophthalmologist!

Located near the beaches of Southwest Florida is Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida - a state-of-the-art pediatric facility that delivers vital and lifesaving care for children and their families throughout the region. This 134 bed regional hospital cares for children across five counties and is the only children’s hospital between Tampa and Miami.  Golisano provides a variety of specialized services to take care of all of our community’s children from emergency care to behavioral health, surgery to critical care, orthopedics, cancer treatment, cardiology, and more.  The hospital has a 16 bed PICU and a 70bed NICU with 24 hour in house neonatology coverage.  The Pediatric Hospitalists team admit the majority of the patients for Ophthalmology.

Lee Health is a non-profit organization with more than 13,000 employees, 4,500 volunteers, and more than 800 employed primary care and specialty care providers with nearly 90 practice locations throughout Southwest Florida.  The organization has four acute care hospitals and two specialty hospitals that together house 1,812 hospital beds.

Position Information:

LPG – Pediatric Ophthalmology is seeking a full time physician BC/BE in Ophthalmology to join their busy 3 physicians practice.  Candidates for this position will be fellowship trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology. This practice has an outpatient clinic in Fort Myer.  Call for this position will be 1:4 for coverage of the Pediatric ER and practice call.  Candidates for this position will be interested in doing cases involving eye muscle surgery, nasolacrimal duct probings, ptosis repairs, dermoid excisions, chalazion excisions. repair of eyelid lacerations, and globe injuries.

PEDIATRIC Ophthalmologist 


Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Eye Center is seeking a third Pediatric Ophthalmologist to join our rapidly growing department.  The ophthalmologist will be expected to provide superb medical and surgical eye care at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Brenner Children’s Hospital and other departmental practice locations. The new faculty member is expected to contribute to the expanding educational and academic missions of the department.  Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist offers a large multi-specialty collegial ophthalmology department that includes specialists in cornea, glaucoma, uveitis, retina, neuro-ophthalmology, and oculoplastics who provide support for the care of complex pediatric patients and adult strabismus patients in our five-state drawing area.

The successful applicant will have a faculty appointment at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.  The candidate must have completed an accredited residency in Ophthalmology and fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus.  Candidates must be Board Certified or Eligible in Ophthalmology, hold or be eligible for a North Carolina medical license and pass a background check.
